He grew up as a boy in the
village of Bastogne during the years 1939-1945.
He experienced first hand the occupation by German Armed Forces.
Later he witnessed the seige of Bastogne when American liberators of the
101st Airborne Division
engaged in a bitter conflict whilst cut off and surrounded during the
winter of 1944/45.
At the time he did not possess a camera or any way of recording what
he saw.
Instead, he later attended art classes and created this fine collection
of scenes from his boyhood memories
